4-H stresses the importance of involving youth in
the learning process. |

4-H members do not just read
about things; they do them. 4-H is an
organization that promotes hands-on
learning and is based on parents and
volunteer participation.
Projects involve setting goals and evaluating
progress. There are more than 50 projects
available in the following areas: 4-H
Adventures, Expressive Arts, Global Education,
Animal Science, Home Economics, Leadership and
Citizenship Engineering Horticulture Natural
Science. 4-H volunteers work under the
supervision of professional staff to plan and
conduct activities and events, develop and
maintain educational programs, and secure
resources in support of the program.
4-H provides youth from (ages 9 or eight and in
the 3rd grade) to 18 the experience to travel,
work with other youth, actively participate in
positive competitive experiences, and gradually
develop at the rate they
want.
